Some of the media is perceived to be near irrelevant- the National Post is a case in point, as is much broadcast news. Sure, CNN and Fox will retain lots of viewers, but more and more people see them as simple spewers of propaganda. Buyer beware.

Intelligent discussion has migrated to such internet sources an DV, ICH and others and is available to anyone at all, 24 hours a day.

You can't force people to be intelligent, and many will choose to remain wilfully ignorant. 'Thanks for comin' in'- Wolf Blitzer.

Using the media to manufacture consent to the policies of the power-that-be and the myth of the "liberal Media" ..etc etc .. have been talked and written about for almost the last two decades as it got worse and worse.
What we need now, are ideas on how to solve this problem.
