And shame on him for torturing dogs in the name of research. Don't see how that had to be done to anumals when examples abound in people all over the place. Retrospective research, Dr. Seligman? And he dissembles. Not a quality one admires in a psychologist. No one of Dr. Seligman’s stature - or anyone at all, really - answers the beck and call of the CIA without knowing why.

To be silent is to signal tacit acceptance of and agreement with the above outlined atrocious activities. The APA must sanction and denounce any member involved in the torture of human beings. Indeed, it is the APA's obligation as an ostensibly humanitarian organization to denounce any and all abusive or coercive tactics resulting in the torture of fellow human beings.
