But I especially want to thank you Mr. Riggins for personal reasons. I more-or-less gave up writing book reviews after 9/11/2001 — radical, even communist book reviews. Reviews of books written before 9/11. Because when I tried to see them in print (other than at Amazon.com), I discovered that radical America, like neocon America, thinks history began with 9/11. And this failure get my reviews read has been a source of great anger as well as continuing resentment and chagrin on my part. Considering myself to be “a writer” - as I do - and not being able to get read the very writings I’m most proud of.
