I'm damned if I'm going to subsidize this giveaway by buying a converter box, even with the $40 subsidy coupon program, which, of course, is paid for by tax funds, not by the damned broadcasters and electronics manufacturers, who will reap ALL the benefit. If one takes a picture of pile of garbage (which is how I perceive TV) through the finest lens that can be made, the result is nevertheless a picture of a pile of garbage.
