		<description>Thanks for this, Allan.  Americans will not even begin to consider the possibility that they have a responsibility for this country's "foreign affairs" unless reporting of overseas events forces its way into their consciousnesses.  Personally, I think racism is so deeply rooted here that reporting of events in countries with dark peoples will be ignored virtually ad infinitum regardless, and so the dissident newspress should focus on Europe (as well as on anywhere America is most visibly engaged in war).  But disaster reporting got an enormous jump start with The Shock Doctrine.
