Avnery is not being supported by facts but builds his stand with his own historical vacuum. The long chain of the Jewish people is well documented and even proved with DNA examinations. The very fact that all Cohanim and Leviim of all Jewish Diasporas are the same DNA code, in addition to some other facts not mentioned by Avnery, shows that Jews of today are descendants of the first century Judeans. Jews from all Diasporas speak the same holy language of Hebrew; pray the same concept, have inter marriage among themselves through the last two millennia and so. Last excavations in the "City of David" tell us that Jerusalem was a major city in Israel land even from the Jobsite period and in times of King David she was well huge fortified city..
