I might add - when looking at details, read the theories/interpretations from all angles and authors and keep an objective mind. (Be sure to donate to International Family and Friends of Mumia Abu Jamal.)

Yes, the NAACP is not what it used to be but that has happened only in the last few years. But in no way do I believe Julian Bond is "co-opted." Many of the celebs in the Free Mumia are against his execution - not his conviction for the murder.

hp, If it doesn't fit - maybe leather shrinks after wet with blood. If LAPD wanted to frame OJ with a glove they would have gotten the right size. America doesn't jail its idols. In my community there are actually folks who believe Mark Furman murdered Nicole/Goldman to frame OJ. Some of the conclusions on current events here in the 'hood are quite interesting.

Chris, I'm not a bastion - just opinionated like everyone else here.

The Not At All Co-opted People aren't the best barometer for Jamal. Look at the details of the case and make up your own mind.

Wow, I didn't know one person's opinion was equivocal to an entire race's! Much less that one orginization represents the myriad thoughts of a broader group!
The NAACP: apparently it's not worthless!
Also, apparently it's acceptable to ignore the fact that the prosecution's case rested on the shifting testimony of a prostitute, a felon, and a corrupt cop. Or that the trial was mishandled at every possible juncture under the direction of a notoriously racist mayor that had a grudge against Mumia.
Thanks for setting me straight, Evie, you bastion of intelligence. Do you have any more wisdom for the world?

I'm probably one of the few white people who didn't see OJ convicted by any credible evidence. All I saw and heard was a bunch of circumstantial evidence, some of which was ridiculous. That glove didn't even come close to fitting. for starters.
Ron 'the saint' Goldman was not some boyscout returning glasses for a merit badge.
I don't believe OJ was guilty and I never saw evidence to prove he was. Beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Too much CSI?

GSR was not widely used in 1981, and until the last few years the testing was unreliable, generating false positives 30-40% of the time.

Mumia did not become a "world famous journalist" until he became the "framed" pet for white folks, especially when there's an "explosive book" to be sold.

Even the NAACP refused to meddle in Mumia's "cause" until recently, after years of badgering and pressure from progressive elites.

Why?

Because we know the brother is guilty. H. Rap Brown and OJ say they're innocent too but we know they're not.

I don't support the death penalty for Mumia but he was a thug who killed a cop in a shootout.

All this energy could have been better spent elsewhere. It's a shame Tookie Williams life wasn't saved by white folks looking for pet causes.
