Ralph Nader has captured my thoughts perfectly in this piece. This is the same reason that honest politicians are not typically elected.

Ralph, you would have had my vote if you had taken this election seriously. Every time you run for president it is always a last minute choice. You are always rushing to get your name on the ballots...etc...Why? Why not start campaigning when everyone else does? Give the people a chance to digest your ideas. As much as I wish it weren't so, I think you're a spoiler. You get just enough votes to insure that a democrat is not elected and we end up with an idiot in office again. Why do you do this?

Isn't sick to watch this happen to America? I've always held what the right wing considers social ideas that make me scum in their opinion.Instead of the free heqalthcare, free college, and where every American would get his\her equal share of profits realised from natural resources or just forget making a profit on them. Instead we now have a form of socialism where our (taxpayer) money is freely given to the wealthiest individuals so they can become much wealthier by charging us (the ones that already paid for it all) exorbinant prices to watch a game or have a hotdog or beer at that game. We are excluded from everything except the cheap seats. While they rape us for more money. This is not a democracy or a capitalistic society. It is notthing but a legal way to insure that the wealthy get wealthier while the poor get poorer. That is what America has become under these elite, election stealing thugs. We sit on our ass and work longer hours for less pay than our fathers did.the border fences sre to keep us in. IMPEACH NOW ! The constitution says 3 different times that it is our duty not our choice to impeach any president and\orvice president that commits "high crimes and misdemeanors." We can prove through our corrupt media alone 1000's of examples of such crimes. Why don't we get off our butts and do our duty? Because of the propaganda from our own corporate owned media who profit from every death and every second we are in Iraq. So sad.............

It is important to note that the Rich run this country. There is no doubt, nor has there ever been, that the Rich receive liniency, or even free Baseball Stadiums. It is the job of the elite to stay elite, and what better way than "I'll watch your back if you watch mine"?

The fact that Tax Payers are being robbed should also come as no surprise. Every politician strives to be a congressman, senator ... or even president. Why is that? The salary? The president makes $400k, and the vice president $181k (figures may have changed slightly). Dick Cheney didn't quit a CEO position for a paycut. Since officials can't take money directly, they figure out clever ways to get Kickbacks. Do you really think that all the money went into the Stadium? The Lerners made sure that those responsible for pointing funds there way got a cut, thats how politics works. It is unlikely that those responsible for building or renovating libraries would do the same.

Well is suppose if US-uk had a proper democracy there would have been no attack on Iraq.. there would be more intelligent people in office.. so 20 and 30 follow automatically.
Proportional Representation and a proper democracy should be number one.

Thanks, Ralph Nader. A wonderful and a wonderfully written piece. But what about The War?

I saw your running mate say a few weeks ago that his priorities were: (1) Election reform, (2) The poor in America, and (3) The Iraq War. Are his priorities and yours the same?
