Yawn. Forgive me if I'm not particularly interested in your 'suspicions' or in helping you overcome your ignorance, but I'm sure, despite the paucity of interest in the North American media about what real Latin Americans think, that even you must have noticied that Latin Americans no longer have a high regard for your country.

For those who are interested, I am trying to document some of the details of Latin America's historic left turn and its repudiation of the arrogance, ignorance and violence that the United States represents to the people here.

Come to Colombia and witness the changes for yourself, (hopefully, soon, these changes will reach to the top of the government here) - or better, come to Bolivia, Ecuador or Venezuela where the workers, the poorest and the indigenous have made the greatest advances in stepping out from under North America's oppressive shadow.

There is still much to be done to overcome the effects of the US's imposition of divisive, miserable, poverty perpetuating elites on these countries, but the positive attitudes of those who have so long been excluded - and who now are the protagonists in the political and social life of their countries - has to be seen to be believed.

James Agee's mind blowing book, INSIDE THE COMPANY, exposed the slick CIA counter-manoeuvers against leftist politics in Latin America.

DV has published several of Paul Haste's pieces about Colombia.

Paul Haste claims to be a "union organizer from London."

Specific intimate detail about Paul Haste doesn't exist or is impossible to find.

I am very suspicious of Paul Haste's convoluted pieces about leftist success and "solidarity."

This piece is similar to many others and is filled with endless names of individuals that very few readers could possibly know.
