It is called: The Islamic Republic of Pakistan! How is it possible to expect democratic acts from a theocratic state? There is more theocracy in Iran, but the oil money has made Iran look calmer than Pakistan! There was no peace and no social justice under Binazir's rule for the overwhelming majority! She was one person in a theocratic state!
(of course the imperialists love theocracy because it gives holy protection to the owners of big properties, big capital, ...!)

"I do recognize that unconstitutional steps create negative precedents and that unpopularity breeds extremism more, but I just cannot see any other way out. The judiciary was more sympathetic to the jihadis/extremists and the general attitude prevailing among the masses is also more in favour of these extremists and against western values of tolerance, pluralism, and respect for basic human rights. Plus the politicians have an exceptionally bad record when it comes to governing the country. Even the lawyers have demonstrated that independence of judiciary only means that the judiciary give judgements deemed appropriate by the lawyers. The incident of Mr. naeem Bukhari, whatever his views, being beaten and spat at by this much touted group of lawyers casts a negative veil on what they can actually accomplish and value. Pakistan is becoming a failed state. At times I think that Musharaf should conduct completely free and fair elections and then bail out. But then, what if the coming breed of politicians takes us back 10 years to economic and diplomatic isolation by supporting extremism, nuclear proliferation, and suspending basic human rights in the name of shameful islamic values."
With the way they're goverment has treated them they thinks the jihadis well give them better rights dumb fuck! Wake Musharaf is evil!

W's got to be fuming right now! His dream scenario is coming to fruition in Pakistan. Only Musharraf has taken the extra step of instituting a state of emergency to grapple on to power. Just wait though. W will get his chance to completely shred the constitution--seeing as there's only a few pages left anyway.
