Mr. Fair would do well to invite Bill Crosby to come to Tallulah and tell the people exactly what would bring them out of this deplorable situation. I have always felt that giving the blacks a good education would help them out of the depths but in order to get that education, their parents must see that they get to school, give the teachers respect and take advantage of the education that is at their disposable. These children, both black and white, must learn that the ball is in their court. Throwing more money at the education system will not work until they are taught respect for the system and how to take advantage of what is offered them and the answer to that is that their parents show them the way by example and respectable family life.

I would love to see more tax dollars spent on educating our children and less on treating them like animals in juvenile detention, jails and prisons. If more was spent on education, fewer of our children would wind up in trouble with the law. Racism plays a major part in this injustice as does the middle class protecting the rich from the poor for their own selfish gains.
