I just returned from Haiti. I visited Cite Soleil and saw bullet ridden shacks where U.N. troops left their mark. It s bad enough that people have to live in such poverty and now the U.N. adds to the violence. Of course, Bush and Company could wash their hands. Will Haiti ever prosper and will Haiti one day know justice? Not as long as the U.S. continues to interfere.

Haiti is (unfortunately) the classic example of the "northern village" of the rich working with the super-rich of the United States, to the detriment of their own brethren. And the U.S. has been sponsoring this kind of exploitation since before 1915. The IMF, World Bank, U.N.--"he who hires the band tells what music will be played". And Americans have no idea.

Isn't it funny how the US invaded Haiti while they were condemning Saddam Huseyin and attacking Iraq for invading Kuwait (at around the same time)... And not a sound was made by the international community. Does this mean that when the US invades, it is legal and it is illegal for all other countries to do the same? This is too sickening..
