here's also.. a reader letter via wrh,

READER: Mr. Rivero:

I understand completely that you wish to protect New Orleans from the endless stream of bad news…but that’s the news.

I live here and this city is not New Orleans, and it never will be again. All this bullshit about bringing the city back is a lie.

Instead, we live in a city where criminals run to the DA’s residence for protection after committing a felony.

Yesterday, the DA resigned under pressure from the Mayor and civic leaders, as well as the city council, who has been crying out for his blood for years.

Which part of this isn’t newsworthy, the fact that he lost a discrimination suit because he fired all the white people and lost in a civil action, and now lacks the resources to pay it. Rather, he blithely stated that if his office’s assets are seized, this city will fall into anarchy? Or the fact that he cannot locate a witness crucial to a multiple murder trial and dropped charges (but then the court was able to find the witness in about 30 minutes)? Let’s remind ourselves that the only reason that scumbucket got the job in the first place is because William Jefferson and Clinton put him there.

If the truth doesn’t get out SOMEHOW, nobody will know any better than what Fox News tells them.

Please get this (and related) stories out. The fucking military are still here (why? Nobody will say.), the Central Business District is still a war zone with fences surrounded the buildings like concentration camps, and the criminals are utterly unafraid of the police. The police, in turn, have resigned themselves to harassing and arresting common everyday citizens to “prove” they are doing something out there.

Nothing makes sense, but if you get the truth out, maybe some of it will, eventually.

Please tell the truth.

gerald, the NEW America is founded on different ideas. But take a good look at New Orleans - if the economy collapses there will be more of the same almost everywhere in America. Or worse.

If you are sick and tired of powerful people with law degrees and slow witted people wearing pretentious black robes laughing in your face about your human rights, just get out there and hire a "good" lawyer and get your human rights, right?
Give the lawyer plenty of money, right?
Everybody needs protection, right?
Everybody has valuable legal rights, right?
The courts are for our protection, right?
