Moon apparently has taken a page out of the George Bush handbook on managing gatherings: all questions must be submitted in writing in advance and only friendly ones will be taken; if anyone does manage to say or do anything uncomfortable to Bush/Moon, he or she will be taken into custody. Like his predecessors, he intends to kowtow to the US, now controlled by Bush. As Elias said, he won't bite the hand that feeds him.

And as Eli said, thank you for trying. Perhaps all of us in the anti-war movement need to adopt Gandhi's tactics and simply lie down in the streets and on the freeways until we have an impact. Better yet, let us lie down on the airstrips to prevent take-off by the military planes taking our poor cannon fodder to Iraq.

Thank you for your courage in asking the questions that need to be asked, when they need to be asked. I am of the opinion that justice can only be served in regards to the Israeli occupation, when the Palestinian people unite in a sustained movement of satyagraha (nonviolence) -- The UN is powerless and any peace resolution will be lopsided unless the Palestinians can take a page out of Gandhi's playbook and shame the Israelis and the world through a movement of love.

Thanks again,
Eli

Of course the secretary general of the UN will not repond to this type of questios, he was put their by the US and with full approval of Israel. You don't bite the hand that feeds you. Koffi Annan did not do anything, neither will Moon. Kurt Waldheim was an ex-nazi. What do you expect from UN?
