Khomeini was a nationalist first and then a Muslim. Like Edward Said who said: “I am an Arab first and then Palestinian.” Whoever does not understand this important fact MUST study the Iranian history and culture and then express her/his opinion on Iran. Majority of the Iranian political activists are IRANIAN first but they have different political views on issues, except the leaders of the Kurds, of course, who are determined to expand their larger tribe by serving the interest of Zionist/Imperialist, the true enemies of the humanity. That’s why the Kurds in the region are seen as the extension of the Zionist/Imperialist and are seen as the enemy in the region. Shame on them.

Prime Minister Mossadeq’s criminal overthrow was the collective work of the shah, US/UK intelligence services and the direct involvement of ayatollah Khomeini –who was the grand ayatollah Kashani’s deputy at the time! Anyone who claims to be an admirer of Mossadeq regime and a supporter of Khomeini regime at the same time is a FRAUD!

For those Americans who are surprised I must say that Iranian government policy on the Question of Palestine before and after the revolution has remained unchanged. Iran did not vote for the partition of Palestine along other countries including China and India in 1948. The only difference between the policy of current government and the policy of the Shah, an American puppet and a dictator, is that the Shah was doing business with the Israeli behind the close door against the Iranian people wishes.
Ahmadinejad in a conference on Zionism condemned Zionist regime not the Jewish people. Iranian government never voted for the establishment of Israel in the first place in order to destroy it later.
Iranian government always has said that one country for all is the best policy like Edward Said, Yahuda Menuhin and other Jewish and Palestinian Intellectuals and peace loving people who believe in one country for all. Iranian government has modified this policy even further since Khatami’s election to the presidency and is willing to accept a decision made by the Palestinian and the Israeli. The campaign of lies and deception whichis presented eloquently here by Mr. Norouzi is correct and should not surprise any unbiased person. I want to use the opportunity to point out that the campaign of lies and deception run by the political elites and their facilitators, the mass media, is done not because they don’t know they have translated and twisted the words of an elected president of a sovereign nation rather they deliberately present lies as facts so they can implement their aggressive and genocidal policy. Do you really believe that they did not know Saddam possess no weapon of mass destruction? Of course they knew they were deceiving the ignorant Americans. The so called Iraqi “opposition” such as Ahmad Chalabi and Kennan Makiya who have served the interest of Zionist/Imperialist over the interest of Iraqi people for power and wealth are as criminal as those who are sitting in Washington or in Occupied Palestine. Chalabi and Makiya have already been condemned as thieves on Charlie Rose program by Iraqi journalist living in the United States. Iranian “opposition” abroad also is guilty of spreading lies in Persian when they inserted the word ISRAEL in parenthesis next to Zionism trying to say that Zionism means Israel.
Now, the question is: are American people going to react against their politicians who are running a campaign of lies and misinformation in order to wage another Zionist war against American interest or they are going to cooperate?
American people have a great responsibility to show the world that they are not going to be fooled twice by the Zionist manipulators.

Whilst the author has been commendably thorough and honest in this article , it seems to me that he, like so many other commentators has been led by a false and modish interpretation of ‘objectivity’ to exclude the most telling points of this saga egample:-
That tiny portion of the media which is not openly Zionophillic, and regards itself as even handed, consistently reports the Arab resistance Vs Jew occupation, in ‘objectice’ terms which equate with an old lady being mugged in the street by a gang of well armed robbers as a ‘dispute between two sides’.
I suggest a different approach is needed:- We have here a crime scene. A weapon has been used to inflict an injury on a certain party- The weapon- a mistranslation of part of a speech.
We can establish intent to injure the victim- Iran.
We can show who the perpetrators were, and by their own words intend, not only to injure the victim, but also the desire to kill the victim.
We have the evidence of their sharpening and honing the weapon for maximum effect (modifying the words), and we also have evidence of collusion by many individuals and organisations in the attack.
Finally, we have evidence to identifythe Zionist gang leaders, their criminal history, and of their intention to commit similar crimes in the future.
The result is not mere ‘conspiracy theory’ - in the voguish term of antithink, but clear evidence of a well organised, criminal, media gang, whose influence extends over organisations and individuals:- John Humphries BBC Radio 4- a well informed and intelligent man-who I know, had been previously informed of the truth, repeatedly using the ‘..Israel wiped off the map.’ phrase as a weapon with which to stifle discussion on Israel’s violent excesses and warlike intentions .

How many of you believed that the Tianamen Square Massacre occured, as the way media represented it … Raise your hands.

Almost everyone of you I suppose..

However, Washington Post have publish and apology, soon after the incident. But Media esp. CNN and BBC continued to publish yearly remembrance in their Web and hard copies every year… delibrately written giving the impression that it occurred. China has even been slapped with embargo because of this for two decade. Not that killing hasn’t occurred.. but none of the thousands of students in the square were actually killed as being protrait, while those killed were along the Chang’an Boulevard are disgrunted workers opposing Deng’s reform, which was about a million strong. An irony, saying that the incident is about democracy.

The frightening thing about all this is that the media have got people worked up into a state of hysteria where a nuclear war could be almost acceptable here on “they asked for it” arguments.
When I first heard the rports I thought that a)this is Ahmadinejad playing to the gallerybecause of discontent in Iran, and b) it’s no use to the Palestinians who want their country back, not a radio-active ruin.
But as it dawned that the threat was not as reported I also found it ironic that talk about Israel being “wiped off the map” was seen as so terrible, when Palestine has been wiped off the map since 1948. For a long time nobody mentioned it. Even recently a film producer was told he could not say ‘made in Palestine’ because “there is no such country”.
Statesmen talked of “secure borders for existing countries of the Middle East, and yet on my seond trip to Israel/Palestine in 1986 I was given an Israeli Tourism Ministry map which did not show any borders for Israel! Guess it was a case of “watch this space”.
I hold no brief for the Iranian government or president, especially after he hosted a Holocaust revision conference, as though that’s all the people of the Middle East need, European and American crackpots and Nazis trooping to a Tehran jamboree. I know too many Iranian genuine fighters against imperialism who fought the Shah and find themselves in exile once again. I think Ahmadinejad is playing with fire and happy to act the bad boy with western media to maintain some popularity at home. It is irresponsible because Bush and Olmert and their British allies just love that and are waiting for the excuse to wage war. The fact that they have failed in Iraq abd Lebanon only increases their appetite for more blood.
But the way the media are working to build up this big lie and hope that nobody notices their retraction makes them guilty as hell for the consequances that could follow. I am grateful for you documenting this lie.
