Free to abuse and torture animals is the freedom they really want. These people should be treated as common criminals - crimes against animals should not be put on the back burner anymore. Animals deserve to live a live free of pain, torture and brutal, unnecessary deaths. (take the legality of industrialized factory farming enterprises wherein animals are produced as things, genetically manipulated to the point of constant pain and unnatural weight gain, unable to stand or walk - Something stinks in this system, and any law protecting animals, including these victims of cockfighting idiots, is a needed and good thing.
